TIFFANY BLUE & BLING WEDDING CAKE

Thank you Scott & Beatriz for choosing Sugar Chef to make your wedding cake, cupcakes, and cookies on your wedding day.  I absolutely loved the Tiffany Blue color you chose with the white cake and white flowers.
The reception was at Desert Island Country Club and they were wonderful to work with.
The 5 tier cake flavors were vanilla and raspberry. The cupcakes were chocolate with vanilla buttercream frosting covered with fondant and carrot with cream cheese frosting.
The florist that supplied the beautiful roses and hydrangea was David Rohr Floral Studio, Cathedral City, Ca. www.davidrohrstudio.com  They were a pleasure to work with and their flowers were fresh and beautiful. They really went above and beyond expectations.

GOLD OMBRE WEDDING CAKE

Many times I make a cake for a venue and never get to meet the bride and groom.  Such is the scenario with this cake.  This cake is beautiful on it's own but before the reception the pastry department at the venue put some flowers on it.  I did not get to see it adorned with the flowers because they did it sometime after I delivered and before the wedding reception.
The middle tier technique is called Ombre which means a varigated color treatment.  The bottom tier was sprayed with an edible gold spray "paint".
The flavors of this cake were lemon cake with raspberry buttercream filling and lemon curd filling.

PRESLEY'S 1ST BIRTHDAY

I had to show you what a customer of mine did for her daughter's 1st Birthday party using my designer cupcakes and a large "Smash CupCake". Such a beautiful party for the most darling little girl with a cool first name!!

BAKING WITH MY GRAND NIECE

PORTION CONTROL USING ICE CREAM SCOOP
My grand niece came over to help me bake some chocolate whoopie pies. We had the best time and she was a delightful addition to my kitchen.
I sent her home with a whole box of whoopie pies and a new pair of shoes.  We had to do a little shopping after all that baking!!
I'm looking forward to her next kitchen visit.

SWEET 16 BIRTHDAY CAKE

Chocolate Hazelnut Crunch is the flavor of this cake.  Sweet 16 with a candy theme.  This was a fun cake to make and even though small 8" there is a lot going on and it took quite a bit of time to make.  I even made the sprinkles on top and had to individually adhere them to the cake.

LITTLE 1 YEAR OLD "MONKEY" CAKE

This cake was made for a little girls first birthday.  Her parents call her their "Little Monkey" so they wanted that reflected on her cake.  She wrote to me the next day and said "Thank you Pam, we love the cake".
I am so glad they loved it.  They will have the pictures forever and I hope they saved the monkey.  It was completely edible of course but it could also be saved as a memento of Suvanee's first birthday celebration.

EASTER COOKIES

Easter cookies are always fun to make.  Such cheerful colors and designs.  These were made for a special customer of mine who is giving them to his mother so she can give them out to her friends.  Love that!!  Happy Easter everyone.  Have a sweet day.

STENCILED CAKE

I was teaching the Advanced Professional Baking & Pastry Class at Cooking With Class La Quinta tonight about how to stencil onto a cake.  I just realized I had never posted a picture of this cake.  So here it is, better late than never.
I love stenciling on cakes and cookies, it gives such an elegant touch.
The flavor of this cake was chiffon cake with pastry cream filling.

BABY SHOWER CAKE

I did this cake for a baby shower that was held at an art gallery.  The flavors were white cake with raspberry and lemon fillings.  My inspiration for the cake was the invitation.
Below is a couple of testimonials:

We loved your edible art.. didn't even want to cut it... but 'boy oh boy' it was so yummmmm !!!!

Pam you are a true artist and your creation fit perfectly in the gallery! Granted the invitation was your inspiration - but there are few people who could create such a memorable (and tasty ) masterpiece
